MIC runs on volunteer energy! We have no paid staff, so our accomplishments are created by someone like you with a vision and passion for our community.
Be a part of the fun at events like The Taste of Mableton or work behind the scenes on zoning, research, or marketing – these are just examples of the many ways you can move our community forward. Some volunteer commitments are ongoing, like committee membership. Other volunteers are needed for events or special projects. MIC needs your skills, whatever they are – meeting people, setting up for events, computer projects, planning, and more.
Volunteer for a MIC Committee – learn more about the Committees here and then register by submitting your application here.
Taste of Mableton 2023 – MIC launched this annual community festival in 2022, with a parade, food trucks, vendors, entertainment, and community networking. Help is needed in planning and presenting the April 15, 2023, event at the Mable House. Click here to register to volunteer.
Adopt-A-Mile Cleanups – Helping improve the appearance of the area makes a difference! Nearly every Saturday morning, volunteers are somewhere in Mableton bagging litter for pick-up. Learn more about Adopt-A-Mile here, visit our calendar for locations and register as a volunteer here.
Parks – Our Parks Committee advocates for Mableton area parks, fundraises for park improvements, and organizes Ambassadors for Mableton parks. Ambassadors are expected to monitor their assigned park, report observed loitering, littering, maintenance issues, or rules violations to the county or 911. Click here to register for the Parks Committee.
Zoning – If you’re available during daytime hours and interested in zoning and development, the Zoning Committee needs you to represent MIC at hearings and meetings with developers. Other needs include a landscape architect, traffic engineer and civil engineer who can help with specific technical issues. Submit your application here.
Marketing – MIC’s Marketing team is looking for help maintaining our website, promoting events, and organizing outreach efforts. Interested? Click here to submit your application.
Although it’s not required, we encourage volunteers to join MIC as a member to help support our work in the community.
