Restaurant Spotlight – Full Throttle Roadhouse

Restaurant Spotlight – Full Throttle Roadhouse

One of the most talked-about subjects in our Facebook group is restaurants. MIC’s Economic Development Committee decided to visit Mableton restaurants periodically, and provide some basic information about them — or in other words, “shine a spotlight” on the restaurants in our community. MIC does not endorse the restaurants; the Spotlight exists simply to introduce Mabletonians to restaurants in Mableton.

Date of visit: Tuesday, April 23, 2019 – 11:45am

Food type: “Great Grooves & Grub” (burgers, dogs, chicken and fish, salads, desserts, chili, stews, desserts)

Takeout/Delivery:  Takeout – yes, walk-ins welcome

Location: 1420 Veterans Memorial Highway SW, Mableton GA 30126 (just East of Bay Breeze restaurant)

Phone: 770.726.1935

Hours:  Mo-Th (11a.m.–12a.m.)  Fr (11a.m. – 2a.m.)  Sa (10a.m. – 2a.m.) Su (11a.m. – 2a.m.)

Website
:  www.ftroadhouse.com

Facebook:   Full Throttle Roadhouse

Food Safety Score:  99 – February 21, 2019

Ambience:  Friendly, inviting, super-clean; live music on Friday/Saturday nights, Sunday afternoons.  Lots of inviting tall “bistro” tables (that seat 4) as well as standard tables,  many big flat screens with variety of broadcast subjects.  Very “neighborhood-y” vibe; they even hosted an Easter potluck dinner.

Wifi:   Yes

Parking:  Yes, paved – motorcycle-friendly.

Experience:  Attractive, full bar just inside front door; meals are ordered and delivered at your table in adjacent room.  Staff was super-friendly, genuine, and eager to make our experience pleasant.  Menu is “bar/pub”-like; servings plentiful but not overly portioned. We ordered fish ‘n chips (thick pieces of cod) with curly, thick steak-fry style fries, lightly coated with seasoning, Pulled Pork Platter (with baked beans and fried okra – the latter non-greasy, fresh), “Rhythm & Blues” Burger (creamy blue cheese spread, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickle, red onions with side of onion rings and an avocado-poblano pepper dip).  The food was absolutely delicious; all items seasoned well, fried items crispy but not greasy, everything fresh.  Wide variety of homemade sauces/dips, desserts/apps/salads also on menu: https://www.facebook.com/pg/FTRoadhouse/menu/?p_ref=pa

Please Note: Cigarette smoking is allowed here, so under Georgia law you must be an adult to enter the restaurant.  Our visit was during a slow time; if smoking is an issue for you, consider the timing of your visit regarding the volume of diners.
