MIC Seeks Candidates for the Board of Directors

Jan 29, 2019 | Uncategorized

MIC’s Board of Directors are elected for two-year terms that are staggered so that half are elected each year. In March, five Board members’ terms expire and they are deciding now if they wish to run again. MIC will also need to fill the remaining year of two vacant Board seats. Directors are elected by MIC members at the Annual Meeting which is scheduled for Monday, March 11 at 7pm at the South Cobb Community Center.

MIC’s eleven-member Board is responsible for overall management of the organization, representing MIC members’ views to county officials and the public, voting on zoning positions, and setting policies and positions on issues that impact Mableton. Each Board member is also expected to hold an office and/or lead a committee or major project.

If you have a passion for your community, time to devote to this work, and are ready to step up and lead, please consider applying for the MIC Board of Directors. Read about the MIC’s work, and our current Board members.

If you have questions or would like an application, email Robin Meyer. Applications are due by February 8.
